Poetry for friends.

A chapbook of poems, a servant to the vassals of pain.

For over ten years RAYMOND KIRK and Todd Sukany have collaborated on poems that they call mirror poetry, using a simple system of sharing a title, writing for a week (or so) in response, and then comparing the results. Their topics arise from the stuff of life: love, pain, joy, separation, humor, and occasionally more humor. The poems in each "Book of Mirrors" chronicle the growth of the two poets in life and craft. This volume spans 27 April 2016 ~ 28 August 2016.

In 2011 Todd Sukany began writing poems about his experiences as a runner on the thirty-five-mile Frisco Highline Trail in Missouri’s Ozarks. These poems expanded to a collection of over one hundred poems, spanning more than thirteen years of running and writing. Varied in construction, the poems are rooted in the poet’s encounters on the trail.

Twenty-four authors of the Missouri State Poetry Society collect their works under one cover. The poems are about life and experiences in forty-two varieties.

GRIST 2023 Nineteen poets of the Missouri State Poetry Society share their works in over fifty varieties within this collection. The Missouri State Poetry Society promotes poetry in Missouri and nationally as a member of the National Federation of State Poetry Societies.
